Nadezhda Viktorovna Belova is the current head of Hyperborea and a former Red Army captain. She is cold, reserved and calculating, but also very down-to-earth, considerate and cares a lot for her men.
During the war she was respected by her men for her smart tactical decisions, but was often held back by military bureaucracy and incompetent leadership. When she was wounded and lost her arm she was discharged and received minimal honours after the war ended.
She became head of a mining company to offer jobs to other forgotten war veterans like her. When the government funding stopped, she was approached by Catherine with an offer to buy out her mining facility and become head of Catherine's company Hyperborea instead.
Nadezhda's personal assistant and right hand is Masha, a hyperactive workaholic. She respects her employee Ivan for his honesty and professionalism. During the war she was the commander of Ivan's parents and has a lot of respect for them. She also has a soft spot for Sasha, Ivan's loopy childhood friend.

Ivan is one of the few people that Nadezhda is willing to open up to because of his honesty and professionalism. She has deep respect for his parents and often sees their personalities and genes reflected in him.
Masha
Masha is Nadezhda's right hand, personally overseeing most of Hyperborea's business operations. Because of this and Masha's work ethic, Nadezhda consider's Masha's role in the company even more important than her own and hopes to eventually make her the head of Hyperborea after retiring.
Sasha
Nadezhda has a soft spot for Sasha because of her military past and aloof personality. While the two don't get to interact often, they greatly enjoy each other's company.

Despite her intimidating battle-scarred appearance and cold nature, Nadezhda really wants to be treated as a normal (and beautiful) woman. Ivan is the only person so far that she opened up to in such a fashion, allowing herself to be unusually submissive with him. She especially enjoys being called "mommy" by him and loves receiving facials.
